Post capitalism

If you look into the new book written by Jeremy Rifkin, you´ll be confused at first. But on the one hand his ideas are not new, on the other hand it is worth considering them. Capitalism is at it´s end, not yet, but soon. What comes next? Good question! But there was a period before capitalism, we always forget that. Capitalism is thus replaceable. It is based on the lack of resources, which is faced by the infinity of human needs. It creates dependencies of the workers on the corporations. This has already been seen by Marx. Some people talk about modern slavery. Rifkin recommends the Commons. These are small units in which people produce for themselves and exchange services. „Prosumers“! Instead of mass production of goods, common goods production. Persuit of profit is not needed. Why don´t we repair neighbour´s faucet in exchange for a cake?! The Third Industrial Revolution has arrived.

Postkapitalismus

Wenn man in das neue Buch von Jeremy Rifkin hineinschaut, dann ist man zunächst verwirrt. Aber seine Thesen sind zum einen nicht neu, zum anderen erwägenswert. Der Kapitalismus ist am Ende, noch nicht, aber demnächst. Was kommt danach? Gute Frage! Aber es gab eine Phase vor dem Kapitalismus, das vergisst man immer. Der Kapitalismus ist also ersetzbar. Er baut auf dem Mangel an Gütern auf, dem die Unendlichkeit der Bedürfnisse des Menschen gegenübersteht. Er schafft Abhängigkeiten der Arbeiter gegenüber den Konzernen. Das hat Marx auch schon gesehen. Manche sprechen von moderner Sklaverei. Rifkin empfiehlt die Commons. Kleine Einheiten, in welchen die Menschen für sich produzieren, Leistungen austauschen. „Prosumenten“! Statt Massenproduktion von Gütern Güterproduktion der Massen. Gewinnstreben ist überflüssig. Warum nicht für einen Kuchen einmal den Wasserhahn des Nachbarn reparieren?! Wir sind in der Dritten Industriellen Revolution.
